Using ChimeraX
ChimeraX is a molecular visualization software tool developed by UCSF's Resource for Biocomputing, Visualization, and Informatics (RBVI). It is designed for the analysis of 3D models depicting biological molecules.
ChimeraX has been added to Open OnDemand as an application. Simply access the application on the OnDemand home page and begin a virtual session.
ChimeraX can also be accessed via a Virtual Desktop session on Open OnDemand. To begin, set up a Virtual Desktop Session through the pinned apps on OnDemanand.
Then, within the virtual desktop, open the Terminal/Command Line and type the following:
module load gnu9
module load chimeraX
ChimeraX
The ChimeraX application window will then open for use.
